Making Small Fortune with $7 Products

Making Small Fortune with $7 Products

The Internet has changed. Back in the day, the "rule of thumb" was you made high priced, high ticket, complex products.

The logic was simple - It's easier to get 10 people to buy a $197 product than to get 197 people to buy a $10 product.

Whoa, have times changed…

Myth - It's just as easy to create and sell a high ticket item as a low ticket item.

Fact - Low ticket products are easier to sell (you need about 750 words of copy) and take much less time to create.

Another huge benefit is buyer leads. On average, someone who buys something... even a tiny little $7 report... is worth to you about 10-15 times as much as someone who just signs up to get a free report.

Get it? You can get PAID to build a list. What's easier? Getting 1000 people to sign up for a free list? Or getting 75 people to buy a little $7 product? The second scenario is much easier.

So that's WHY you should do it. Now let's get into the HOW.

One Problem, One Solution

Here's something of value: having all the answers in one easy to reference report. It doesn't mean that information has to be groundbreaking, innovate, fresh, new or amazing.

If you create nothing more than a guide that has all the good stuff in it... organized in an easy to understand way... and that people can reference...

That's EASILY worth $7.

More to the point - it's easier for you to do research and create a little product. Without any experts either…

Here's how it's done.

Rule 1 - All $7 products must have a step by step system.

Rule 2 - All $7 products must focus on one very specific problem... with ONE solution. Let's take some examples. Warriorforum.com is one of the most popular Internet marketing forums on the net.

Here's how this would apply to little $7 products. Let's visit the main forum and see if we can find one specific problem. Immediately one thing pops out... "What ’s the quickest way to generate traffic?"

There are 58 replies in that one THREAD as of the time of this writing. Hmmm... Getting any ideas yet? Couldn't you create a little $7 report with “The 3 Quickest Ways to Get Traffic"? Or even better... "The Three Quickest FREE Ways to Get Traffic." Whatever.

You get the idea. What about research? Well start in THAT thread. Also do a search in that forum for past archives about how to generate traffic. Make some notes. Create a step by step outline.

It doesn't matter so much if you personally have gotten results with these methods. It's just that it's going to be a step by step plan that makes sense because of what your research has told you. In this case you can make three such plans to give them a few options. That is worth $7 to have. Easily.

These little $7 reports should be no longer than 10 pages or so. So you can get right to the point. Jump right into it. Come right out with the step by step. And that's it.

More Ideas

There are posts that pop up all the time on Warrior forum for WordPress stuff.

So here's what you do. You do a "search" in the forum for anything related to WordPress. And see what questions come up over and over and over again.

Then you create a report. Each short chapter is an answer to a major problem people keep asking over and over again. Pick 7 to 10 of these. Answer each one in a page or two. That's it. You're done.

Again, it's just a well researched report. But it has huge value because people are begging for the answers.

Here's another idea for a little $7 report - the topic is Ezine Articles.

This is a hot topic because people know that Ezine Articles is the best place to submit articles for traffic. So you can create a little 10 page report that shows them the 5 best ways to exploit Ezine Articles for traffic and profit.

First you go on a little research excursion and make a list of all the stuff you can find related to Ezine Articles. Pick what seem to be the best tips, write up a 2 page step by step action plan for each tip... when you're done you have your $7 product.

And this is just one forum in one niche. Sheesh, the possibilities are endless!

Writing the Sales Copy

Here's what I love about little $7 products. It takes a very short sales letter to sell these products!

Let's take a look at this one by Jason Fladlien: http://jfladcoaching.com/moreclients.html

Pretty simple, isn't it? Less than 1000 words. Pretty much just describes the product, adds a couple of bonuses in, throws in a guarantee and asks for the order. This isn't rocket science, but it does work.

And the report in that sales letter took less than an hour to create.

The Hidden Money

One of the coolest ways to make money with these $7 reports is to give away 100% commissions. You can use a program like Rapid Action Profits to set it up so that an affiliate gets instantly paid into their PayPal account 100% of the $7 sale.

Why would you go and do that? Are you crazy? Only like a fox… See, affiliates love instant commissions, like Rapid Action Profits provides. Second, you have to mess with NO payouts yourself since it handles the payouts for you.

Third - they are building your buyers list for you. It's that simple.

On the backend, all you would have to do is promote affiliate products all day long and you will make a killing... because the quality of your list would be so high.

At the same time, you could always create more $7 products and sell them directly yourself to your list that affiliates have created for you. Fourth, what about an upsell?

You can give affiliates 100% commission on the front end, and keep 100% of the "one time offer" that you offer after someone buys your little $7 report. Get it? These are great little products that can easily be made viral.

And if you create enough of these (it's real easy to do one a week) in no time you'll have all these different income streams with all kinds of traffic coming to them and you literally just sit back and watch in amazement as you get paid to build your list. Then the sky is the limit from there…

Getting First 100 Subscribers and $100

Getting First 100 Subscribers and $100

Here's why most fail in Internet marketing - they have no clear goal to work toward. And, on top of that, they don't break things down so they are easy to accomplish.

Let's end that. Your goal is simple - 100 people on an email list, and your first $100 in profit generated through Internet marketing.

Why such a simple goal? Because this is where it all starts. If you figure out how to put 100 people on a list, then you can do the same thing to make it 200... 400... 800... 1600... or more. It's up to you.

Same thing with the cash. That's why this works, and why it's something you should focus on if you've been struggling to make any money online at all or build an email list.

In this report you're going to be shown a very simple, easy to execute plan to accomplish this.

Free Gifts

This is not rocket science. It's not especially creative at all. But by golly it works. To build an email list, you must give an incentive for people to sign up for your mailing list.

In other words - a bribe. The best bribe is a simple free report... much like the one you're reading right now.

Free reports are about the easiest thing in the world to create with the right approach. Let's talk about one such approach that anyone can use. They're called email interviews.

Here's how it works. You create a list of a half dozen questions or so around one central theme. For example, let's say we wanted to create a free report on "How to write sales letters that make you money!"

What would we do? We'd find as many people in that niche who sell stuff on how to write sales letters. Then we'd send them all the same basic list of questions. It might look like this:

1. Explain how you got your first success with writing a winning sales letter

2. What is the biggest mistake people make when writing sales letters?
3. What is the most critical factor for creating a winning sales letter?

4. What is the biggest emerging trend you see for using sales letters in online marketing?

5. What is your formula for writing headlines for your sales letters?

6. Why is mastering writing sales letters so important to Internet marketing?

There you go. You simply email each of the people you found who are experts in writing sales letters and you ask them to write a few paragraphs for each answer, and send it back to you when they ’re done.

Also, let them know you will allow them to put in a one paragraph "call to action" at the end of the answers where they can promote their latest product as long as you can use your affiliate link for the promotion.

See what we did there? Killed two birds with one stone. You've created a free report that allows you to get emails... and the report is also MONETIZED so you can make affiliate commissions. Cha-ching!

Create Your "Email Capture" Page

Simplicity is your best bet here. Two reasons... it's easier for you to set it up and get going, and it often converts the best.

Let's show a few quick examples:

First look at this one - http://mst20.com/kapow/

It's a subhead, a main headline, a one sentence call to action and a form JUST asking for an email. That's it. Typically converts at 40 to 55% for good, targeted traffic. Took a couple minutes to create.

Let's look at another - http://goldmembercoaching.com/profit-equation/squeeze.html It's a headline... subhead... one sentence call to action and a form JUST asking for an email. Again, simple… But damn does it convert well. And it took almost no time to create. So just take this model for your squeeze page and you're good to go. Nothing more to it!

Hit the Forums

There are lots of ways to get MASSIVE traffic... but they also require a lot of expertise to pull off. That's why most people who are starting out or who are not real good at marketing can't use them effectively.

Let's keep it simple!

The first way to get traffic is through forums. Specifically, we want to find forums where the people in those forums would be very interested in the subject of your free report. Also, these forums must allow you to have a "signature".

A signature is simply a little blurb that is automatically added to the end of each of your posts you make in that forum.

So sign up for that forum, and then log into your profile and create your signature. Make it two sentences, with a clickable link. That link leads to your squeeze page.

For our example above, it might be something as simple as: "free report reveals how to write sales letters like a pro in no time. Click here to get the free report..."

Then, just set up your "daily posting schedule". This might be a half hour to an hour a day where you go into the forum and create new posts that offer value, or respond to posts that others created where you offer your own commentary or value.

Don't be a spammer. Don't be blatant about your free report at all. Don't even mention it. Just contribute worthwhile commentary. A paragraph or two ought to do it. Your signature does the selling for you.

Ideally you want to do this with as many active forums as possible and very soon you will see sign-ups. Sometimes on the very day you started.

Write Articles

There is a huge shortcut you can use here. Think about it - you can chop up bits and pieces of each email interview you did - and turn them into articles. Then you can write additional articles if you wish.

Regardless, submit those articles to Ezine articles (http://ezinearticles.com) and Go articles (http://goarticles.com)

Why articles? Because at the end of each article you're allowed a 2-3 sentence resource section, where you can promote your free report. These articles get searched and read, and you will get subscribers.

Some articles get thousands of views over their life span, resulting in hundreds of clicks, and sign-ups for you.

Comment on High Traffic Blogs

Find blogs in your niche that are ranked high in the search engines. This means they probably have good traffic.

Then you simply find posts and add in your own commentary... providing value first. Then at the end say something like "we talk about this in my free report more in depth at..." and put in your link.

Repeat the process.

There you go. You follow this very simple and basic plan... and just do it day in and day out... and you will be amazed at how easy it is to actually have success online.

And of course, nothing is stopping you from creating multiple free reports with this method. It's really up to you and how bad you want it.

Also, what's great is once you get that list going and sales coming in, it frees you up to innovate and try new traffic methods, experiment with new techniques, and learn new skills to enhance your business model.

Auto Traffic Buddy

Auto Traffic Buddy

Auto Traffic Buddy gets you a steady flow of backlinks. But, there is much more to it than that.

Auto Traffic Buddy is automated. BUT, it's not one of those hokey $37 "click-n-get-rich" software products you've seen promoted lately.

The "magic" behind Auto Traffic Buddy is leveraging and tapping into a growing network of sites. These "sites" are a very specific type of content-rich blogs that are highly optimized for maximum search engine placement. No. This is not your typical WordPress blog network that you've seen everybody and their brother launch over the past 3 years.

Auto Traffic Buddy is WAY different. It involves high-powered scripts and some automation. But, you don't really need to know anything about blogs at all to benefit from ATB.

Simply put. Auto Traffic Buddy gets more mileage out of your content by syndicating and promoting bread crumbs throughout dozens (potentially HUNDREDS) of other websites that are all owned by our current customers. Using ATB, you will get loads of backlinks to boost your search engine rankings.

It works great. Results can be seen in as little as 24 hours!

Of course, Auto Traffic Buddy includes all the training and step-by-step hand holding so that even newbies can hit the pavement running once they join ATB.

Super Hot Blockbuster Joint Venture

Super Hot Blockbuster Joint Venture

You’ve just finished a product. You set up an affiliate program for it (maybe something as simple as putting it on Clickbank or Paydotcom.com). You wrote the sales letter for it. You're in a niche where joint ventures are commonplace. Now you just need traffic.

Joint venture traffic is by far the best. Unlike traditional paid traffic, you only pay a percentage of a SALE. So there is no risk on your part.

At the same time, if you set up a good joint venture, you can literally get thousands upon thousands of hits in a 24 hour period. There is no quicker, easier, risk free way to make money as fast as possible.

That's good and bad. The good is obvious... quick cash. The bad is everyone KNOWS how lucrative it is... so everyone is trying to score that blockbuster joint venture.

There is a lot of noise. A lot of competition. So if you want to score that joint venture, you need to do something different.

Persistence in a Fun, Engaging Way

The secret to joint ventures is in the follow up. Most people quit after one... MAYBE two emails they send to a potential joint venture partner. That's horrible. Their loss is your gain… They should have planned AT LEAST 7 follow ups. And they must be done in a way that is fun and engaging.

Here's why: most people who get joint venture proposals think of them as nuisances. They have to choose to respond to the email... or ignore it and feel bad for being mean. They have to read the email, consider it, and then reply.

It's a time waster to them in 9 out of 10 cases. No matter how good your product is... no matter how much money you pay... no matter what… The reason is that these joint venture partners already are successful and it's not the money that woos them, it's other factors.

So right away, you need to change the approach of your joint venture proposal, so you're not a pest or nuisance.

The easiest way is to engage this philosophy: no matter what, you at least need to bring a smile to their face. Here's a basic, "mock" example:

http://goldmembercoaching.com/profit-equation/kidney.html

In this case, the offer is "if you mail for me, I'll mail you my kidney!" It's done in a fun and polite manner... it's unique and different than what they're used to getting... and even if they ignore it, you at least put a smile on their face.

By the way this worked for us once - we did a follow up to get a certain key joint venture partner, and they ignored our every request... until we sent them this one.

Repeat: It's the Follow Up

Here's what usually happens when you mail even these "engaging" joint venture proposals. They get lost in the shuffle. Meaning your JV partner might read it, and even feel inclined to engage in dialog... but put it off until later. Later usually is never.

They will often WANT to respond to you... tell themselves they will at least respond to you... but never get around to it.

That's okay. You didn't plan to get a yes on the very first point of contact anyway. You came prepared with a follow up plan.

Two days later you might send them something like this...

http://goldmembercoaching.com/profit-equation/handwritten.html

Again, this is an "example" where I used my good friend Marlon Sanders (a genius marketer in his own right) just to show you what it'd look like. See how it follows up on the previous attempt?

And how it's unique and engaging? And different than anything they're used to seeing. It begs them to at least respond, since you're taking the time to follow up in a new, different and fun way.

At the very least they ’ll see you're someone who "gets it" and can be potentially fun to work with.

If they respond - great. If they don't great. Because you have a backup plan. A few days later you might send something out like this: http://48hourreport.com/clinic/

This is a video of Jason crying because a joint venture partner didn't respond to his proposal. Again, it's done in fun and is engaging, different and interesting. The idea is... at the very least... you bring a smile to their face.

If they respond great. If not... then send them something else fun and engaging. Perhaps two days later you send them a picture of your cute little daughter acting like she's going to punch you.

Then you tell them your daughter has gone on a violent binge because she's so upset you won't send one measly email out for her daddy!

You might also write a poem... then read it to them on a video... asking them to respond by mailing for you... it could be something like this... An Ode to [JV Partner's Name]

Once upon a time on the world wide Internet I tried sending you an email, I asked you to accept I offered you my kidney, my liver and my spleen if you'd do one small favor, and send an email out for me And I offered you commissions, 75% to be exact and I'd even write the email for you, but you didn't respond back.

So now my daughter's crazy, she beats me every night what oh what can we do now, just to make this thing right? My product is a good match to your great subscriber list The only problem is that most of them don't know it exists

But we can fix that in a minute, and you can make good money to boot So please send out this mailing, and when it's done we'll split the loot... If you do stuff like this, you WILL get joint venture partners. The follow up alone will be tremendous. The fact that you do things different is great. They will remember you. They won't look at you as a nuisance or a pest.

Actually, you'll bring a smile to their face.

Plus, they can tell you care because you’ve taken the time to do things in a way above and beyond the norm. That will score you points... and score you joint ventures... and give you more traffic than you know what to do with!

The Secrets of Sales Letter

The Secrets of Sales Letter

Most people make writing sales letters way too complicated. And for good reason - that's how they're taught.

You probably got your instruction from someone who lives, eats, sleeps and breathes copywriting. So naturally, they're going to share with you every trick, tactic and method for enhancing your copywriting skills.

Most of those tricks work. But the problem is: if you have a thousand tricks you "know about", which ones do you use for each sales letter?

If you have too many options, it's too easy to not want to write the letter at all... or to take forever writing it... or the sales letter sucks because you tried to do too much with it.

In most cases, a simple straight to the point sales letter - especially for something you're selling for $47 or less - will be the best case. And it's also brain dead easy to write these. Here's how to do it.

Start With the Offer

The biggest reason most people write copy that doesn't convert is their readers leave the page before they even know what the offer is. That sucks!

So how do you remedy this? You open your sales letter right up with the fact you're selling them something, and why you think it's in their best interest to take a look at what you're offering, and consider purchasing it.

Let's do an example to illustrate this.

"If you're looking for an easy way to grow upside down tomatoes, then what I have to offer you today just might do the trick. I've painstakingly put together a guide that shows all the great tips on how to grow upside down tomatoes, and for a limited time I'm making it available to you for only $17.

I believe you'll find this to be worth much more than the tiny $17 you'll have to invest to get your hands on it. Why? Well here's what you'll discover when you sign up to get your report on how to grow upside down tomatoes..."

And then you simply describe every benefit they'll be privy to if they do decide to purchase your product.

There's nothing magical about that, is there? It is straight forward. You have something you think is a great deal. You let them know that. Then you show them why it is a great deal. No big story. No "problem, agitate, solve" methods. No fancy tricks to "hook the reader" in. Just a straight forward message that says - I have a great offer for you and here's why you should purchase it.

Communicating Your Benefits

So you opened your copy up with the straight forward approach we talked about above. Now it's time to describe your benefits. The best way to do this is with bullet points. And the easiest way to write bullet points is to collect good bullet points, then model your own bullet points after them.

What that means is spending an hour or so looking at sales letters that have really good bullet points, and then saving the best bullet points into a text file, so you can consult it any time you need ideas.

For example, in our bullet point swipe file we might see this:

What niches will almost never work for recruiting joint venture partners - and what to do instead...

So for our example we could create a bullet point that says...

What methods almost never work for growing big upside down tomatoes... and what to do instead to grow plump, delicious tomatoes almost every time...

Again not rocket science. Just 15 to 20 bullet points about what you have.

Or, you could write a few paragraphs that explain the things they'll discover once they get their hands on your product. That's it.

Use the Golden Guarantee

After you communicate the benefits, now explain that it comes with a 100% money back guarantee.

Here's one that works really good that you can almost use word for word. We call this the golden guarantee and here it is...

Get your hands on this guide immediately. Open it up and read just the first 10 pages of the report. If after 10 minutes you don't already feel you've gotten more than your money's worth, I demand you contact me and I will promptly and quietly return every penny of your purchase... no questions asked.

Better yet - take a full 30 days to use this guide and benefit from it. If within those 30 days for any reason - or no reason at all - you are unsatisfied then let me know and I will return 100% of your investment that day.

You risk nothing and you stand to gain everything today. So act now and sign up!

You can change just a few words and literally use this guarantee with almost anything you sell.

Optional - Throw In Bonuses

If you want to "take it to the next level" you can throw in additional bonuses if you wish. This is where you'd put it - right after the guarantee. A subhead that says "Act today and also get these 3 bonuses" works great.

Then you simply explain each bonus they get if they act immediately today.

The Close

At the end you simply just tell them to invest, and re-iterate in a paragraph or two everything they get and remind them of the money back guarantee. Then tell them how to sign up. It's that simple.

Will this produce the highest converting sales letters on the planet? Nope. But it will allow you to create "good enough" sales letters so you can get something out there and start making sales ASAP.

And good enough is good enough!

How to Build an Ebook Empire Yourself

How to Build an E-book Empire Yourself

Tapping Into the Needs of an Online Consumer:

Why Does One Niche Outsell Another?

As a former ghostwriter for many highly successful Internet marketers, I was kind of confused in the beginning as to the sheer span of topics they wanted me to write about. It wasn’t always “ how to make money” eBooks that they wanted - some ordered dozens (literally) of eBooks on the same topic, like baby naming!

I didn’t understand at first why they didn’t just come up with a single eBook about baby naming, or weddings, or whatever niche they were targeting - why stretch it out?

Then after years of working with these high-level marketers, they began to confide their secrets to me, teaching me the how and why of it all until I had what Oprah calls your “Ah-Ha!” moment. I got it.

The second I got it, I quit ghostwriting full-time for others because I knew where the profits were - they were in creating my own information products and securing my own niche on the ‘net. So I set off on a mission to launch my own eBook empire.

Almost every successful marketer has a “how to succeed” or “how to make money” product. They weren’t able to write that eBook until they actually succeeded, and the eBook Empire is how they do it – it’s how they build enough profit stamina to keep them afloat as they plan their future big-time launches and joint venture partnerships.

I’m here to tell you a very ugly truth - many eBooks you’ll read similar to this one will intentionally leave out crucial details that you need to succeed. Why would the author or product owner do this?

Two reasons. First, it’s because it gives them the opportunity to sell to you again, and again, and again. That’s why you see so many “missing chapters” or follow-up reports being sold once you’re on someone’s “subscriber list.” I think there’s a better way to create a lifetime customer, and I’m going to teach you how to do it in this guide.

The second reason is because if they do tell you every little detail, you might be armed with the knowledge you need to tap into their super secret niche. You don’t hear the gurus talking about their behind-the-scenes niches. Savvy players keep those cards close to their chest.

The truth is, each one has dozens upon dozens of little minisites where they sell regular 50-100 page eBooks on various topics – from golf to weddings to baby care. This is evergreen stuff, which means it never goes out of style.

Internet marketing products are hot one day and “dead” the next. Those aren’t what keep them financially secure – it’s the icing on the cake. Can you imagine the stress involved of finding the best best-selling marketing idea, creating, launching, and coming up with something new on a regular basis? The shelf life for IM products is usually pretty low.

That’s why niche eBook Empires are so vital to a guru’s success. Evergreen ideas don’t die out. Take parenting. The same problems crop up year after year – Colic, temper tantrums, potty training. New customers flood the marketplace on a daily basis because people keep having babies!

I’m here to teach you how to stake claim to one of these niches and build a steady increase in your income starting with one product and moving on from there. You can apply it to marketing products, too – as long as you take one idea and use it as your foundation.

When I first decided to blow the lid off this, I took someone who didn’t know her autoresponder from her backend product line. Her first site now makes almost $3,000 a month in total passive profits. She’s in the process of launching several other sites but the original continues to grow in eBook sales.

The idea here is not to be blinded by dollar signs and buy into the hype of lounging by the pool at the Playboy Mansion. Be smart about this – this is a business, not a lottery ticket. Build it right, and you won’t have to fear that the bottom will drop out from under you one day when you least expect it.

Where are you right now in your own Internet Marketing career? Do you do it fulltime, part-time, or are you just considering it for the time being? The system I’ve outlined here will allow you to follow along regardless of what level you’re currently at.

If you do it fulltime, then the results will go faster. If you’re just curious about the profit potential, then you’ll find plenty of tips on how to conduct preliminary research to see what your odds of success may be and whether or not you have what it takes to follow through to the end. You can go at your own pace.

When I made the leap to include Internet Marketer in my résumé, the first thing I did was come up with a few measly ideas - about one every couple of months. I talked about it, but nothing more.

Then one day I was forced to watch an online video for $4.95 (Eric Rockefeller made me do it) and for some reason, something in it resonated with me. I wasn’t taking clear steps to actually make my dreams come true. I owe Eric for giving me the nudge I needed to believe in myself.

The very moment the video ended, I contacted my clients who were experts or “gurus” in the Internet Marketing industry and discussed the issue with them and got some solid advice on what steps to take.

I started communicating with those I didn’t already know (in online forums like Warrior Forum), but whom I had heard of before, and I boldly emailed them and asked for Joint Venture partnerships so I could learn the ropes from the other side.

A Joint Venture is when you both bring something to the table and share the profits. I would bring the writing talent, and they would bring the behind-the-scenes marketing know-how.

The first day I sent out emails, I was entering into discussions for partnerships that would bring a $2,000 to $20,000 minimum for a 1-month launch of a product where all I had to do was write the eBook. You may want to do the same thing - partner up with a reputable source and bring your talent to the table.

But in Building an eBook Empire , you’ll learn how to do it on your own. Some of these JV partners were able to promise me $20,000 minimums because they had a ready-made list where, with a single email, they could fork over a wad of cash to someone who had what they didn’t - the ability to write a product.

Networking is vital to your success. You need to know the right people. I started out not knowing anyone. Get into discussions on forums, email and PM people (don’t be a gnat, but soak up whatever you can learn and put your name out there).

Even if you do bite-sized chunks of this system, one small step at a time, it will pay off for you. Exert the energy necessary for you to succeed. Start with formulating an idea the first week.

Then the next week create a potential title page and table of contents for your product. Try to flesh out a chapter every week at least. Eventually, your product will be complete and you’ll be ready for a launch.

I created a file folder called Tiffany and pretended “Tiffany” was a client with a deadline. I worked “her” into the schedule with my other clients. It was worth it. “She” increased my salary by several thousand dollars the first month I worked for her. She’s my most prized client now, and she’s my priority.

Oh, and that video that changed my life? It’s called The Secret if you want to see it. Best $4.95 I ever spent. You may not need the same swift kick in the rear, and if you don’t - then good for you! Those of you still stalling may want to fork over the five bucks.

WARNING:

This is NOT a “Get Rich Quick,” “Make a Million Dollars Overnight,”

“Turnkey, Business-in-a-Box” Concept.

It’s Work...But It Works!

I know many of you may have seen ads online for overnight millionaire success, but even the guys who wrote that stuff had to take time to set up their system. Now once it launches, that’s another thing.

One marketer (John Reese) actually launched his own product (not one that I wrote, though) that he sold for about $1,000 - and he sold 1,000 copies in 18 hours. You do the math. But the reason he was able to do this is because he branded his name on the ‘net, something I’m going to teach you to do.

Creating Your Very Own Cash Cow

There are dozens of ways to earn a living online, but this guide will show you one way – the eBook creation and launch process. Non-fiction information products are big business on the ‘net.

When I go into Barnes and Noble, there are just as many non-fiction books as there are fiction novels lining the shelves. That audience will be your target on the ‘net. What sells?

Let me tell you some of the topics my clients have hired me to write and then I’ll show you how to capitalize on a niche subject of your own. One thing you’ll notice is that some are oddball and some are broad, repeated topics:

Business Success Secrets

Bird Flu Survival Guide

Lose Weight on the Sonoma Diet

Blogging Your Way to Big Bucks

Credit Repair & Identity Theft

Naming Your Baby

A Guide to Internet Marketing

Earthquake Survival Guide for the Middle East
Notice how some of them are trendy or time-based? When the Sonoma Diet was hot, people wanted knockoffs of it. When Blogging became popular in business, I got a big demand for that subject matter. When another earthquake devastated the Middle East, boom - and the same thing happened with Bird Flu after Oprah had a show on it.

Whatever’s in the news, people will buy. Your market may not be in America or the UK. It may be Singapore or Zimbabwe. There are a lot of English speaking consumers you can access on the ‘net who live in all four corners of the world. (And don’t forget about having your product translated into different languages for an even larger reach - and more profits)!

Other items on the list are evergreen topics, meaning they’re good all year, every year - they never go out of style. I get requests for those all through the year - credit repair and identity theft, baby naming, Internet Marketing, and general business success never go out of style, but the market already has a lot of those products, too.

If you have an unusual slant or updated idea for an evergreen topic, then you can still profit from it because there’s always an influx of new consumers having babies, dealing with credit issues, trying to succeed, and wanting to profit online.

You always want to be on the lookout for your own slant or original idea, but there’s also another way to get ideas for info products: ClickBank. When you go to the site and sign up for free, you can click on the “promote products” link.

Choose a category that interests you (don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert in any area – the bonus will show how to research and write an original product). Your categories are:

Business to Business

Marketing and Ads

Health and Fitness

Fun and Entertainment

Home and Family

Sports and Recreation

Computing and Internet

Society and Culture

Money and Employment
When you go to one of the categories, you can get even more detailed until you find a product that piques your curiosity or is in line with something you’d like to write about.

If you see a product that’s successful, don’t copy their idea - that’s not where the money is. You just need to know consumers are interested in that overall subject matter. Then develop your own unique slant associated with that topic.

For instance, let’s visit ClickBank right now and check the marketplace to see if there are any products on PLR - Private Label Rights. Here are the results I get:

This is just a portion of the screen, but I see that there are only ten products on PLR right now as opposed to ten pages of results. It tells me there’s a market for PLR products, and there’s definitely room for competitors, so I can add that idea to my list of possibilities.

But what if the idea I have, such as “Making Money on eBay” shows me a saturated marketplace? You still have options. Some people will tell you to stay away from that market completely because there’s too much competition.

To me, this is a global marketplace with unlimited potential - squeeze on in and stake your claim! All you have to do to be competitive is deliver a slant no one else did, or do it better than the rest of the guys!

Just because there are a dozen products on eBay marketing doesn’t mean even a single one is worth the money. Trust me, there’s a lot of crap out there. As long as you create a valuable, no-fluff/no-filler eBook, you can steal the thunder in any niche.

Another reason to go ahead with your idea is that when I need information on something, I buy multiple products. Don’t you? If you want to know all about Spain before your upcoming trip, you might buy three books on it, not just one.

You might buy one on the best restaurants, another on history, one on language – all different slants. So make your eBook one of the ones your audience invests in.

Sneaky Guru Tactic: Marketers live by the motto “All’s fair in Internet marketing.”

I used to laugh when one guru would find out I was ghostwriting for another and try to get me to spill the beans about what their niche was. I never snitched, but it told me a lot about how hungry they are to spy on competitors and copy their success.

Want to know how else they spy on each other? They troll freelance sites like Elance and Rentacoder and view project titles to steal ideas. If a guru sees a project titled, “50-page eBook on Potty Training,” he knows another marketer’s making bank in that niche.

Think Like a Business Owner

Some topics you choose may not be what you’re passionate about - but would you be willing to write about a topic you knew would bring in thousands of dollars because there’s a need for it?

Some marketers I know have a problem with this. They want to spend their time focused on something that interests them - but I’m a “show me the money” kind of girl. I’ll spend my free time focused on my passions - but during business hours, I’m focused on profit streams.

Plus, I feel like I’m doing the public a favor when I know I can create an informative product that they need to solve a problem. Many marketers just write eBooks on what they alone have an interest in.

They never check to see if there’s a demand for it. You can follow this trend, too - or you can learn how to find a market first, fill their needs, and reap the financial rewards.

Writing for an Online Audience

One reason I get hired to write for some big name ‘net marketers is because I know how to have a conversational tone. It wasn’t always like that. My first client told me I was too academic and said to write more like I did in our email exchanges.

So I did - and once I put excerpts of this kind of writing in my portfolio on Elance, my bids were chosen more than anyone else while I was a member. Your info product for the web has to be conversational, which in a nutshell means:

Use contractions such as “what’s” instead of “what is”

Break up your paragraphs into easily digestible chunks of information.

Make your chapter headlines and subheads interesting and clear.
I’ve worked with other writers. I tried to outsource to people (oh how I tried), but the revision work I had to do was overwhelming, so then I just decided I could do it myself faster. The problem?

Most people write like they did for a college professor or a corporate boss. On

average, consumers read at an 8th grade level. Have you been in an 8th grade classroom these days? You’d be appalled, trust me.

You have to dumb down information. Let me give you an example of what I’m talking about. This writer is a guy who is remarkably intelligent. I tried to give him a chapter of a book and even gave him the chapter I wrote beforehand to ensure continuity in the tone and voice. Here’s what he wrote for a paragraph:

“If you can just accept that fact and then find ways to explore and exploit those abilities, you’ll be well on the way to a more productive life. And this enhanced productivity and fulfillment will affect all areas of your life, not just your chosen career path.”

Huh?!? This goes way above the regular Joe’s ability to read and understand

what he just wrote. It annoys me and I’m pretty proficient with the English language! It’s important that the reader find value (not confusion) in your product or else you’ll wake up to an inbox full of refund requests.

Here’s how the paragraph should have been written:

“Once you accept the fact that you’re a strong enough person, you can do anything you put your mind to! Working smarter will make you happy in your personal life, not just your job.”

See the difference? I’ve “dumbed it down” and made it shorter.

You don’t have to drone on and on with Information products. The less fluff and filler, the better. You’re not trying to achieve a certain page count...you’re trying to get everything across that needs to be said, period.

Speaking of page count - I can’t tell you the number of marketers who base their entire product on page count. In their minds, their page count determines the quality and price of the product. They’re wrong! I have no idea how long this will be when I’m done. My Squidoo eBook started out at 14 pages, and I sold 300 copies of that.

I have seen 400 page eBooks I could use as liner for my son’s hamster cage if I printed it out because they had absolutely no value whatsoever in them. Then again, I’ve seen 5-page special reports that taught me more in half an hour than I’d learned all year!

Quantity does not equal quality. Learn it and live it. I don’t sit down to write my eBooks with a page count in mind. I just write it, say what needs to be said, and it’s finished.

Finding Your Formula to Success - a Real Life Case Study

When you create products for online consumers, make sure you follow a basic pattern for the way your information flows. These people are seeking some sort of solution. So first, you want to identify with their problem.

Show them you understand and discuss the repercussions of them not getting a solution or being informed. If they don’t follow your advice, what will happen to them? What won’t? Will they miss out on a lot of earning potential or time with their family?

Make sure you merge into a solution for your readers. Your information should be organized well in sub-topics and don’t be afraid to use bullet points like you would in a sales letter if you’re an experienced copywriter.

Your solution should not be an example of you on a soapbox, shouting out your opinions to the reader. It’s okay to have a unique slant, but make sure you can back up your information with solid facts and data to feed their desire for a solid solution.

Sum up your info product with a motivating ending that leaves the reader ready to put your system or ideas into practice. If they click out of your eBook and don’t do something with it to improve their lives, then chances are, they’ll be shooting you a request for a refund within the next couple of days.

Let’s take a look at an example of a highly profitable eBook formula I did for another client, just to give you an idea of how it works. I got his permission to use this because it was a timely eBook that had its surge (made him a lot of money in a short period of time) and then petered out (it is not an evergreen topic, but your formula will be the same nonetheless):

Title: Global Catastrophe: What Every Man, Woman, and Child Needs to Know to Survive the Next Bird Flu Pandemic
Sub-Title: Learn How to Protect Your Family, Deal With Chaos and Disaster, and Stay Afloat Financially in a Crippled Economy When the Fourth Pandemic Breaks Out!

You want to make sure you live up to your claims in the title of the eBook. So here’s what I covered, in order:

Chapter 1: A Look at Previous Pandemics - What We’ve Learned from History Repeating Itself - Here I explained what Avian flu is, what the past pandemics have been like, and how this one could be worse than all the others - combined. I end with a current risk assessment for each country because the audience for this product is global.

Chapter 2: Global Depression - What a Bird Flu Pandemic Would Mean to Your Immediate Community and Every Other Continent - In this chapter I discuss whether you might lose your job, how your finances on a personal level would be impacted, industries that would be crippled - but I give them a solution here, too - investing in or stocking gold.

Chapter 3: Why Bird Flu Worries the World Health Organization - What You Don’t Know Could Put Your Life in Danger - This chapter explains the hard facts stated by WHO and other scientific organizations. It discusses how people get infected, how you can steer clear of germs, answers questions about food safety, and talks about what level of preparation you need to plan for based on your risk assessment.

Chapter 4: Preparing for the Future - If You Don’t Plan Ahead, Prepare to Panic - A detailed chapter outlining what you might need to prepare for: no electricity, food and comfort, currency, and who you allow into your home (The snot-nosed kid down the street who wants to play ball but looks like he’s a walking germ machine might be an easy “no,” but what about letting your old Aunt Sally in after she’s traveled in a plane from Ohio full of infected people?) In each sub-heading, they get an answer on what to do if there’s no electricity, etc.

Chapter 5: Treatments and Testing - Availability and Effectiveness of Medical Supplies Being Stockpiled to Offer You Protection - I start out with why technology is out of date and what method we need and are working on to produce vaccines. I discuss how there won’t be enough to go around and how greed plays a factor in production. I then talk about natural remedies and protection (herbs, etc) they can use to build immunity.

Chapter 6: Minimizing Your Risk - Tools You Need to Survive Among an Infected Population - Since my client sells this stuff, I talk about the protective gear they need to order - face masks, gloves, etc. I tell them what to pack in their first aid kit and how long it should last. And I sum it up with a step-by-step system they need to do if they come in contact with an infected person.

Chapter 7: When Chaos Reigns - How to Protect Your Home and Family When the Rules of Society Break Down - Discussed the past (LA riots, Katrina, etc.) and then talked about safety from fires, dangerous individuals, and ways to protect yourself, your family, and your home by communicating and keeping a low profile.

Chapter 8: “You’re on Your Own” - Why You Can’t Rely on the

Government to Help You - This chapter covers a US and UK preparedness plan but on every level - local, statewide, nationwide, and global. I also quickly go into other countries and give some shocking information, like which countries refuse to cull infected birds because of the money issue.

Chapter 9: Experts Warn We Have No Time to Waste - Putting Your Plan Into Place in an Instant - This was a resource section showing readers where to buy their protective gear and medicinal arsenal. It ended with a sub-section on what to do the very moment it enters your street.

Notice in that last chapter where I mentioned that I referred readers to where they could buy products? Let’s say you write a wedding planning eBook. You can make a LOT of extra income just linking to resources that have affiliate programs.

For instance, you can sign up as an affiliate for Amazon (scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link that says “Join Associates”) and earn a commission whenever anyone buys something. So if they bought a book you recommended on wedding cakes, you’d get a portion of the sale.

And it’s all hyperlinked within your eBook by using the “insert hyperlink” function in Word. By the way, it can be products and services, too - not just other books. You can link to a wedding dress on eBay or to the services of a wedding planner, for instance.

In the example above, I hyperlinked all sorts of stuff people could buy online - not just my client’s medical gloves and face masks, but also herbal supplies to increase immune system performance, fire safety supplies, generators and other items that he profited from just for linking to other sites. He got a commission every time a reader bought supplies!

I’d like to see a print book do THAT for you! With Internet Marketing, it’s not about selling your solo copy of the eBook.

Here, you’ll be learning how to build an entire empire of products to sell to the same audience. And in the end, you’ll have one large river of profits streaming into your bank account with dozens of cash-based tributaries contributing to it.

Now that you know the difference between offline and online non-fiction information products, let’s move on to the actual marketing side of this kind of creation so that you can start staking claim to your niche!

Underground Traffic Secrets

Underground Traffic Secrets

About the 3 secrets...

Secret #1 is something you can use on a daily basis to get easy one-way high PR backlinks in just minutes. What does this mean? This secret tactic alone can help you climb to the very top of Google for a highly searched term.

Secret #2 might blow you away. This one definitely wouldn't be effective if it were widely known. You apply this tactic once and get one-way incoming links on auto-pilot for sometimes months... maybe even over a year for you.

Secret #3 is not as underground as the first two. Yet it's still not widely used enough to not be an effective secret traffic tactic. This secret you have to pay a tiny bit of cash for, but your results could amaze you.

Before You Use Secrets #1 and #2...

Underground Traffic Secrets #1 and #2 are for ranking #1 in the search engines for a highly searched term.

So before you use the first two secrets, make sure your index page of your website or front page of your blog is optimized for a search term.

It's best not to go for the highest searched term in your niche because you're going to have a tough time competing with, say, “Make Money Online.”

If you need a highly searched term, you can find one with SEO Book's Keyword Research Tool . A tool I like to use is WordTracker's free Google Trends tool ... When you do a search, click the graph next to the terms to see how much competition you have in Google.

It's also important to anchor your incoming links with the search term. Meaning, use the search term within the actual links .

Underground Traffic Secret #1 : Hunt Old High PR Posts For Backlinks

1) Find a blog in your niche/market that's been around for at least a year. Also works with Digg.com posts.

2) Search through the archives and find the oldest, highest ranking PR pages.

3) Comment on those pages and don't forget to anchor your link with your main keyword. If you do this 5 times per day, you could build 5 easy PR 3, 4, and 5 backlinks per day.

You'll save a lot of time swapping for high PR backlinks. Plus these are one-way high PR links !

If you can do this 10x per day for a year, then you'll easily get 3,650 backlinks from PR 3, 4, and 5 pages.

However, some blogs have no-follow set, which means search engines won't follow your URLs in your comments.

But... tons are do-follow because bloggers are encouraging comments this way. Here's a great directory of blogs that follow: Do-Follow Resource at Courtney's Internet Marketing School .

Be sure to anchor your link with the keyword you want to rank high for in the search engines!

Underground Traffic Secret #2 : Launch a Fire Linking Campaign

Who else wants their links to spread effortlessly like fire throughout the internet? And without using software or spamming?

A Fire Linking Campaign is a way you can get drop dead easy one-way incoming links and traffic for months.

It amazes me that this secret hasn't leaked all over the place... It has a little in some circles.

Here's the idea. You have to have a WordPress blog or it won't work, BUT you'll get incoming links to any site you want. For instance, your squeeze page.

Let me explain...

Step 1) Find up to 50 small time blogs that you like. You know, blogs that are active but get very little traffic. Maybe they're new bloggers not yet ready to give up.

Step 2) Title a blog post “Fire Linking Campaign” or something similar.

Create a link that you'd like one-way incoming links to.

Now create links for all 50 blogs you picked in Step 1.

Jumble all the links together with “|” or a comma in between each.

Step 3) Go to this HTML converter and copy and paste the slab of 51 links into the form. Click “Convert” and now you can use this new piece of code to display the HTML code for all the links within your blog post.

Step 4) Make sure you have the HTML for the 51 links on page and also the HTML that displays the HTML for the 51 links. Got it?

You want to put both the actual links and the code for copying and pasting the 51 links on the same page.

Step 5) In the post, explain to your reader that if they want easy traffic and incoming links, then take the piece of code, add their link to it, and do a similar type of post.

What's going to happen?

WordPress will inform the blog owners that you're linking to them. They'll create a similar post by adding their blog and more blogs. More blog owners will do the same type of post with your link in it. And so on.

Your links spreads like fire. You find yourself getting a lot of one-way easy links over time.

I can't even begin to tell you how great this works on the web right now!

Again, it's not going to work on the big dog bloggers or internet marketers with blogs. You just want to aim for the low-on-the-totem-pole-bloggers who are desperate for backlinks and traffic.

You'll actually be helping them a lot too so don't feel like you're scamming them in any way.If you're wanting your website to rank high for a search term, then don't forget to anchor your link with that search term!

Here's an example of a Fire Linking Campaign . I launched it last year and it even reached a lot of major players in a non-IM niche.

It should work even better for Internet Marketing-related blogs and don't forget to slip whatever anchored links you want into the mix!

Underground Traffic Secret #3 : eBay Traffic Trick

Here's a great, great, GREAT trick.

First , create a 5 to 10 page PDF report. Make sure there's an offer at the end of the report, whether it's a link leading to a squeeze page or to a review of a product on your site... or whatever you want.

Create the PDF with a free PDF creator like the one built into Open Office .

Also, be sure that this report gives away the best material you have. Just give it away. Spill your best stuff.

Like if you're in the pets market, tell the reader how to teach their cat to use the toilet. Give away huge value so they'll visit your site.

Next , list this killer report on eBay for .10. Just 10 cents (or less). You'll likely make your listing cost back along with a small profit.

The best part is you'll get traffic from the offer within your PDF.

Is that easy traffic or is that easy traffic? Not only is it easy traffic, you've pre-sold the prospect with the great info in your report.

Bonus Underground Traffic Secret : Form a Social Scoundrels Group

The quickest and easiest way you can get massive traffic ...as far as I know... is by forming a Social Scoundrels Group.

Your group can potentially jumpstart HUGE results. I'm talking THOUSANDS of hits per day for even a week straight.

Warning. The average reader hanging around the social bookmarking sites hates your guts. That's why you're a Social Scoundrel. That doesn't matter, though, because you're only in it for the money.

...What you're going to do is gather a group of people and secretly give each others' bookmarks more Thumbs Up with StumbleUpon , more Up Arrows with Reddit , and more Diggs with Digg .

But you're not going to do it on a massive scale. We're talking 5 to 10 internet marketers you can trust.

Your goal isn't to help each other get to the top. It's to act as a catalyst to give your URLs a better chance of going viral. For instance, 10 Diggs in a row can get your content page in the “Hot in...” section where it'll be read more. If it's good enough, then Digg's readers can bump your URL into the spotlight!

That said, your content page still has to be great. Or else you're wasting your time. And you likely want to have an opt-in form on the pages you submit so you can grow your list.

Again, the point of your Social Scoundrels Group is to jumpstart your URLs. To give them a better chance of making it into the spotlight, where, I kid you not... you get

MAAAAAAAAAAAASIVE traffic. I've gotten 10s of thousands of hits from this and I've even talked to someone who's gotten 130,000 hits in one week from getting into the Digg spotlight.

I think John Chow was a Social Scoundrel on a large scale when he launched his blog. It's the reason why his blog grew to such readership so they say. BUT, it was such a large operation that it was discovered by the social media sites and also it's said that the search engines started taking shots at him.

So you're not trying to pull a John Chow (if that is what really happened... That's just word-of- mouth). You want your Social Scoundrels Group to secretly help jumpstart your URLs and if they're good enough pages, then you could more easily get in the spotlight.

Here are some tips for you :

Only do this a minimum of 48 hours apart because your site will quickly get banned from the social sites if URLs from it are submitted too often. Plus, it won't even work in StumbleUpon at least if you don't wait 48 hours between bookmarks.

You can hold your Social Scoundrels Group by creating a forum and setting it to private. Then manually add your 5 to 10 members.

Another way to do it is get your members to opt-in to your auto-responder and also create a Scoundrel Request submission page. Whenever you get a request from the submission page, you can broadcast a message out to your members. ...You'll know whether they're participating based on the number of Diggs a post will get.
